LIME ready to shell down Vincy Mas 2015
Vincentians can look forward to yet another action packed Vincy Mas this year, as LIME and the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) get set to launch the 2015 Carnival season Saturday evening.{{more}}
This year, the kick-off for Vincy Mas is slated to take place at the Victoria Park, a switch from the Solidarity Car Park, where the event had been held for the last few years.
The LIME Vincy Soca Dans, LIME carnival ambassadors and other artistes, are ready to shell down the venue in LIMEâs Launch Fete, slated to take place following the official CDC carnival launch.
The Soca Dans, including Fireman Hooper, Luta, Shaunelle Mckenzie and DJ Q, will be in full force at Saturday nightâs event, as will be a host of LIME DJs, including Hyper 4000, Pitbull and Chemical X, and DJ Fugitive.
Other artistes include Keith Currency, other local acts, with Bigred and Melo out of Carriacou being the guest artistes.
Saturdayâs evening of festivities will commence with the customary journey of music trucks from both leeward and windward ends of the island converging in Kingstown. The music caravans will be followed by a parade of the trucks, musicians and costumes around the city before assembling at the Victoria Park.
At Carnival City, Vincentians will be introduced for the first time to the 2015 Miss SVG contestants, as well as various carnival themed entertainments, including the highly anticipated New Song competition.
