Island Scholars Inc. announces new scholarships for university students

Island Scholars Inc., a non-profit organization founded by a Vincentian living in the United States is offering two scholarships to persons seeking to pursue university degrees.

A release from the organization said Ronald Rose, founder and Chair of the Board of Trustees, has announced that the Trustees have approved the first awards of two college scholarships of up to EC$16,000 EC each for the 2015-2016 academic year.{{more}}

Island Scholars Inc. was registered in Lawrenceville, New Jersey in 2014 by Rose, a former resident of New Grounds. The mission of the organization is to provide merit and needs-based scholarships to promising students from St Vincent and the Grenadines to advance their pursuit of bachelor’s degrees.

Application forms are available at www.Islandscholars.org beginning March 30, 2015. The deadline for application is June 15, 2015. Successful applicants will be notified by July 31, 2015. For further information, please contact Ronald Rose at islandscholars@gmail.com
