Brewery launches Hairoun Label Competition

When world renowned German Brewery Haase Brauerei came looking for a Caribbean island to establish a brewery, they found the perfect location in St Vincent and the Grenadines. They fell in love with the island’s rich history, its people, and our unique way of life.{{more}} Above all, St Vincent and the Grenadines was the perfect location, because it was flowing with soft, crystal-clear, spring water, a prerequisite for good beer. The two cultures were blended together and St Vincent Brewery Limited was born.

In June 1985, St Vincent Brewery Ltd (Hairoun Brewery) bottled its first batch of freshly brewed St Vincent and the Grenadines very own Hairoun Beer. Over these 30 years, Hairoun beer has become a household name and has grown by leaps and bounds and continues to hold its own as the most favoured brew. We are proud of our unique heritage and wholeheartedly embrace our culture, in which Hairoun beer is uniquely positioned as the beer of the people.

This year is a special year for Hairoun Beer and to celebrate this legendary milestone we are inviting our Hairoun Beer consumers to join in the 30th anniversary celebrations, as we embark on the first initiative to showcase what makes us truly Vincentians.

On Friday, February 6, 2015 the Brewery launches its first ever Hairoun Label Competition. As the beer of St Vincent and the Grenadines, we are giving our consumers the opportunity to be creative and design one of the 30th anniversary special labels.

The top three designs would be selected for our special 30th anniversary limited edition Hairoun label, displaying the rich Vincentian spirit and talent.

“The competition will run for two weeks, from February 6, 2015 to February 20, 2015 and is open to the Vincentian public of legal drinking age (18 and over). We are very excited about this initiative and we are looking forward to designs from a wide cross-section of designers, artists, creative minds and Hairoun Beer drinkers,” a release from the Brewery said.

The winners of the top three designs would receive for 1st prize – $2,000, 2nd prize – $1,000 and 3rd prize – $500.
