The business clinic, which runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., will feature a presentation on the topic “Financial Issues: How are you doing?” It will also allow business owners and operators to have consultation with business development field officer Nisha Glasgow, and training coordinator/PRO/communications officer Keisha Phillips.

According to Phillips, financial issues present major challenges to entrepreneurs.

“When it comes to financial issues some are intimidated, while others see it as tedious and try to avoid it as much a possible. As a result many entrepreneurs do nothing about these financial issues until they realise that their businesses are in trouble. CED is trying to change this by helping our entrepreneurs understand that they must confront their financial issues squarely early,” she says.

The CED Outreach Satellite Office serves as a business development resource facility for residents of Georgetown and surrounding communities who are entrepreneurs or who have interest in starting or developing their own businesses. It was set up in 2010 by CED under its project funded by the Organization of American States (OAS), entitled “Reducing Rural Poverty through Entrepreneurial Development” (RRPED).
