Peace Memorial Hall gets UGLY this weekend

Peace Memorial Hall is the springboard for theatrical productions in the annual Ministry of Culture and Bank of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines National Theatre Arts Festival 2014.

UGLY emotions spill out from the Remnants of Gideon cast on November 7, 8 and 9, as they take to the Peace Memorial stage with the production “UGLY.”{{more}}

The “UGLY” plot takes you on an emotional rollercoaster, as it enunciates the error of mixing business with toxic pleasure. Families and friendships are scourged by long kept secrets and blatant deception. The folly unfolds when a troubled girl questions her identity and stirs up family rivalry that leaves an unborn baby’s life hanging in the balance. There is not enough cosmetic to cover this much UGLY!

We say turn off your TV at home, as we turn on the drama at Peace Memorial Hall! There’s good, there’s bad, but then there’s “UGLY”! This drama presentation is not to be missed!

REMNANTS OF GIDEON is ready to get “UGLY.” This stage play will run from November 7 to 9, 2014, this weekend, at the Peace Memorial Hall from 8 p.m. on Friday and 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday night.

“Our production team is geared up for this year’s presentation and welcomes the opportunity to share the platform with other talented participants in the Festival. DONE PAC will ignite the stage with “Sparks of Emotion – the things we desire” from the 14th to 16th of November 2014. Find out what happens ‘After the honeymoon’ when AGAPE graces the stage from the 21st to 23rd of November 2014. COMMUNITY COLLEGE PERFORMING ARTS SOCIETY will reel in its patrons with ‘No fun alone’ from the 28th to the 30th of November 2014. Then finally, POLICE DRAMA CLUB will bring the veil down on this Festival with its production “For better or for worse” from the 5th to the 7th of December 2014,” a release from the producers said.

Sherilan Dennie-Edward is the effervescent playwright and director of Remnants of Gideon’s production. The play “Ugly” is socially relevant and soul stirring. We encourage patrons to have a fulsome experience. The theme of our production begins to unravel from the hall downstairs and is echoed through our pre show. Patrons can expect a special pre-show package.

Tickets for each production night of Remnants of Gideon’s “UGLY,” as well as season tickets are available at Aeropost and can be requested through their Facebook page under the name: Exalt Him.
