Glen Baptist Church to reach out to community with march and rally

The Glen Baptist Church will hold a march and rally this Sunday, September 28, as part of its efforts to reach out to the community.

A release from the Church said in light of the spate of violence and crime in the community of Glen and as part of the efforts of the Glen Baptist Church to reach out to the community, the Christian Education Department of the Church will hold a march and rally this Sunday.{{more}}

The march will start at the church at 4 p.m. and travel up to the Fair Hall Government School, with the rally beginning at 5 p.m. and ending at about 7 p.m.

Additionally, the march and rally will have the support of the Police Department and the National Commission on Crime Prevention (NCCP).  Speeches will be delivered by officials of each department. There will also be support from the Police Band, who will assist with the march and render items at the rally. The programme will also include items from the church, as well as the feature address by Rev Sylvester King, pastor of the Glen Baptist Church.

All members of the community and the surrounding areas are invited to participate.
