Jamar places first for Calliaqua Anglican School
Grade six student Jamar Murray says he was astonished and excited when he heard that he placed first for his school in the 2014 CPEA.
The 11-year-old grade six student of the Calliaqua Anglican School said that he was happy with his accomplishment and was looking forward to entry into the St Vincent Grammar School, {{more}}where he will be taking up classes in the new school term.
Murray scored 88 per cent for Language Arts, 98 for Mathematics, and 94 for Science, to place sixth for boys and ninth overall at the end of the internal and external assessments.
âI did a lot of studying. For me, the Math was the easiest and the English was the hardest. The projects were easy too,â Murray told SEARCHLIGHT on Monday.
âI would like to thank my teachers, my parents, and also Gail Creese and Valdez Alexander, who helped me with my project,â he added.
Calliaqua Anglican entered 40 students for the CPEA and achieved an 85 per cent pass mark.
