Churches host ‘Repent and Live’ crusade at Arnos Vale
The crusade is taking place at the parking lot of the Super J IGA Supermarket, under the almond trees. The theme for the week is “Repent and Live.â The ministers are Jamaicans Reverend George Miller and Minister Lawrence “Laroâ Madden, president and executive director respectively of Reconciliation Ministries International (RMI), and producers of the popular regional devotional “The Word for Today, the Caribbean Edition.â
They both desire to see a reconciliation of the body of Christ, so that the nation might really know the power and reality of Jesus Christ. They are looking forward to seeing persons come to personal salvation, in St Vincent and the Grenadines and, by extension, the Caribbean.
“The nations are at the crossroads and we are in a time where we need to come to God. It is a time where the Church needs to get back to work, and repentance must begin with the Church, and the rest of the nation needs to turn away from sin and turn to God,â according to the religious ministers. “The call is to repent and live or do not and perish.â
Both men shared at two separate churches on Sunday morning. On Thursday, February 27, they will be sharing with a number of pastors, evangelists and other church leaders/workers on the spiritual state/condition of the nation and the need for the ministry of reconciliation. The meeting will take place at the Adult and Continuing Education Unit conference room in Kingstown, behind the Methodist Church Hall and will begin at 9 a.m.
The men would then head on to Grenada, where they will be meeting with pastors, evangelists and other church leaders and workers there for a training seminar.
