Taiwan continues to offer scholarships for medicine

In order to cultivate passionate and devoted international medical professionals for its diplomatic allies, the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) continues to provide scholarships for medicine in 2014.{{more}}

In 2013, the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) partnered with I-Shou University (ISU) to establish a four-year Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D.) programme for international students. All admitted students are awarded with full scholarship and are obliged to return to their home countries to provide medical service. Two young Vincentians, Andre Williams and Raphique Pope, were admitted to the programme last year.

The Taiwan Embassy says it welcomes Vincentian youth with a bachelor degree from accredited universities/colleges desirous of studying medicine to make applications by March 14.
