Argentina extends helping hand to SVG in aftermath of December 2013 floods
Yet another country is in the process of extending a helping hand to St Vincent and the Grenadines towards the rehabilitative efforts after the effects of the December floods that caused extensive damages as well as the loss of lives here.{{more}}
As such, four technical experts from Argentina arrived here on February 12 to assess the damage resulting from the floods, as well as provide assistance as deemed necessary. The Argentine experts include:
1. Two (2) agricultural technicians
2. One (1) civil engineer
3. An executive officer of the White Helmet Commission.
In addition to several planned field outings to the affected areas, the visiting officials are scheduled to meet with representatives of NEMO, Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Transport and Works.
They will depart St Vincent tomorrow, Saturday, February 15.
