During the week, the festival was taken to several areas around the country.

On Tuesday, 28th January, it stopped at the Bequia Anglican Primary School, where it catered to all primary and secondary schools on that Grenadine island.

Next stops were the North Union Learning Resource Centre and Georgetown Secondary School on Wednesday, 29th, which catered to schools in the surrounding areas of North Union and Georgetown.

Thursday, 30th, was the turn of the Barrouallie Learning Resource Centre, catering to all schools in that area, and the final stop was the Peace Memorial Hall on Friday, 31st January and Saturday, 1st February.

The festival’s content consisted of seminar presentations, along with exhibits of films, art and fashion. The film segment included short films, music videos, television commercials, photographic expositions and documentaries. Visual art exhibits were gathered from students in the CSEC Visual Art programme in the secondary schools and from adult local artists. The fashion segment saw a number of collections of clothing and accessories from local fashion designers. During the highly interactive sessions, students were taken through the idea of moving from pencil on paper drawings and other scribblings, on to story frame for videos, completed works of visual art, and designs of fashion which can be converted into clothing or accessories.

The festival was well received by students and teachers alike, according to the Department of Culture. It made contact with approximately eight hundred (800) students, whose participation was extremely engaging. They had the opportunity to pose questions and received answers as they talked with the facilitators, the Department added.

A special presentation on publishing, was made at the closing ceremony by local publisher Marc Erdrich. Remarks were also delivered by the Minister of Culture, Cecil McKie, who asked that, among other things, further work be done to expand the program in 2015. He thanked staff of the Department for their work and said that he looked forward to them interacting with even greater numbers of students in coming years.
