Campden Park youth dies at Fanny

Police recovered the body of 17 year old Dillon John of Campden Park in the Fanny area on the upper Leeward coast on Wednesday after it was reported that he fell to his death the day before.{{more}}

John, a former student of the St Vincent Grammar School had been frequently seen in the North Leeward area during the past months. It is alleged that Johnwas at Petit Bordel on Monday and had been drinking liquor and behaving badly, then he went to Fanny on Tuesday where he got into an alteration with some of his mates while in a drunken state, injuring one of them.

A source told SEARCHLIGHT that on Tuesday evening two men went to the Chateaubelair police station and reported that John had fallen to his death over a cliff.

A vessel from the Royal St Vincent and The Grenadines Police Force Coast Guard with police officers went to the area and recovered the body on Wednesday. The vessel returned to Chateaubelair around 2 p.m. Three men who are helping police with investigations were taken to Kingstown along with the body.
