Dead is Fitz-Allan Bramble, a well known Sion Hill resident who succumbed to several gunshots he received while standing in a shop in the community just about 9 p.m. last night.

Bramble, popularly known as “Wizzy” and “Lil Terror” was reportedly shot by one of four assailants dressed in hoodies, bandanas and wigs, who, after opening fire on their victim, proceeded to shoot at other people in another shop across the street.

One man, identified as “Chang,” was shot in the leg.

Both men were transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where Bramble died from his wounds.

The status of the other individual was not known at press time.

People who were present told SEARCHLIGHT that the assailants entered the crowded shop where Bramble was a patron, and when the victim saw the individuals, he tried to run.

One eye witness told SEARCHLIGHT that Bramble was shot once in the hip area, and when he fell face down, the gunman stood over him, squeezing three to four more rounds into his body.

Another eye witness reported that when the gunmen left the shop, they turned their attention across the shop to another crowded shop and started shooting.

As the patron in that shop ran for cover, “Chang” was hit by a bullet in his upper left leg.

The men then fled the scene.

Bramble, the son of former national goalkeeper and diplomat Fitz Bramble, made national headlines as an up and coming dancehall artiste.

He then found himself on the wrong side of the law, and spent some time behind bars.

His death is confirmed as the first recorded homicide of the year.

There were 27 recorded homicides in 2013.
