âCaribbean Short Stories: Life Long Agoâ by Rosa Veta (a pen name) and âChristianity and Black Oppression: Duppy Know Who Fe Frightenâ by Zay D. Green, will be launched at the UWI Open Campus on July 25, beginning at 5 p.m.
âCaribbean Short Stories: Life Long Agoâ is a collection of 15 short stories fashioned around the lives of Caribbean youths (particularly in St Vincent and the Grenadines) in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. âChristianity and Black Oppression: Duppy Know Who Fe Frightenâ asks: How is it that blacks have been Christianized for more than 400 years and yet blacks are stereotyped as morally and mentally inferior?
Both volumes are edited by Baldwin King and Cheryl Phills King.
