Forbes is a member of Class Two and still maintains fellowship with her class, even though she is housebound. She still sings all her old favourites without the use of her hymn book and quotes from familiar scriptures.

Forbes is originally from Dickson. She managed a grocery and variety store in Dickson before migrating to Curacao and then to the United Kingdom. On her return home from the UK, she settled at Arnos Vale.

During her birthday celebrations on January 28, Governor General Sir Frederick Ballantyne read her the Queen’s birthday greetings and presented her with a bouquet.

Joining in the celebrations were her two grandchildren who both reside in England, along with church members, family and friends. Her only son is deceased. The pastor and members of the Arnos Vale Methodist congregation celebrate with this faithful servant of God and wish her continued blessings.
