Last week, the store launched a reading station, which manager Michelle Samuel said is to be used by persons wishing to take time-out and catch up on some reading.

Samuel said that the reading station, which is located at the rear of the Grenville Street store, serves as getaway from the hustle and bustle. She said the reading station is to be used by visitors to the store, who may pick up a book and wish to spend time going through a few chapters, or for persons having book signings, or group reading sessions.

At its inaugural session, the book ‘Yearnings of the Heart’, written by Vincentian poet Laurell Wright, was featured, with Wright reading a number of her poems, and signing publications for fans.

Wright said that the book has been receiving rave reviews, and lauded the bookstore for providing accommodations for readers and writers to gather.(JJ)
