On Wednesday, during a presentation ceremony at the NLA headquarters, Delpesche was announced the grand prize winner of the NLA’s Carnival Scratch Craze promotion.

His name was selected at the draw which took place on the night of the Soca Monarch show, on July 7 at the Victoria Park.

His winnings included an Apple I-Pad, a Kindle fire and two nights at the Buccament Bay resort.

“I’ve been playing Lotto, 3D and scratchy since the inception of these games. I tried everything to see if I can win. This is the first thing I’ve ever won in all my life and I’m so pleased.

“I thank the National Lottery for everything they have here for me and I hope I win the jackpot the next time you see my face here on TV,” Delpeche said.

Second prize went to Akkedo Slater of Cane Grove, who won himself a Kindle Fire and a day at the Buccament Bay resort.

Mesopotamia resident Gracelyn Garrick won the 3rd prize of a Kindle Fire.

Marketing Manager of the National Lotteries Authority Anthony Dennie described the promotion, which ran from May 7 to July 7, as “successful” and congratulated the three winners.(AA)
