Couple renews vows on 50th Anniversary

George and Norma Howard renewed their marital vows early on June 20, as they celebrated fifty years of joy and happiness. The ceremony was graced by the couple’s seven children: Don, Alphonso, Garnet, Douglas, Neil, Gillian and Villette, their spouses, many grands and great-grand-children.{{more}}

Later in the evening a festive dinner was held at the Methodist Chruch Hall to commemoriate the occasion among relatives and close friends.

Currently, George Howard is the top retailer of Digicel and LIME top-ups and lottery games (Lotto, Super Six and Scratchy.) Before his journey into this business venture, Howard worked at the Fort as a lighthouse keeper and was later transferred to the Port in Kingstown in 1975, after which he became the Head Port Guard. He then retired from that position in 1992.

Since his retirement, Howard has dedicated all his time to his business Howards Driving School, which is the original and oldest driving school in the country.

Searchlight wishes the young couple many more years of Marital Bliss.
