A release from the Alliance Francaise notes that each year, OMDAC, an organization in Martinique, organizes an event called â15zaine de la jeunesse Caribéenneâ (two weeks for the Caribbean Youth) from July 30 to August 13.
Youths from different parts of the Caribbean are invited to represent their countries and culture in various exhibitions conferences etc.
âIt is a great opportunity to visit Martinique, meet with other youth of the region and progress in French (conversation classes, discussions, etc.),â the release from the Alliance said.
This year, the Alliance Française SVG, in collaboration with the French Embassy to the OECS Member States in St Lucia, will be paying for the airline ticket to Martinique for one student who has already been selected.
OMDAC gets public support from the French government to be able host the youths for 15 days and this year, more people have the opportunity to join the project.
If you are between 18 and 26 years old, if you study (did study) French and if you are able to pay your flight ticket to Martinique, then you will be able to join this event and represent St Vincent and the Grenadines in Martinique.
For more information, please contact the Alliance Française (Carnegie Building, 1st Floor, 456-2095) before the 15th June 2012.
