Fathers from far and wide will be vying for top honours, as well as a cash prize of $2,000, in the eight-stage obstacle challenge, which will take place at the Kingstown show room floor, using top brands products which are available at Courts, in the process.
The fathers are expected to make a bed while holding a baby, then change and dress that baby, and following that, he will take a photo of the infant and upload the photo to a laptop computer.
Daddy dearest will then be expected to sweep the floor, connect a DVD player to a television, before going on to the next challenge, which is to play a lullaby on a music system for his young one.
While baby sleeps, Super dad will type an email and upload the recently taken photo of the child, before moving on to the final challenge, which is to whip up a sandwich.
The participants will have to complete all tasks within a specific time frame, and will be monitored by a panel of judges who will score according to the completion of the tasks and adherence to time.
On May 12, the mothers had their turn to take on the Courts Super Mom Challenge, which was won by Onicha Baptiste.
Courts Marketing Officer Alexis John said âthe competition is one way of highlighting the fact that fathers work just as hard as mothers in and around the home, and that this was one way of rewarding hard-working fathers on the eve of their own special dayâ.
John pointed out that the fathers participating in the competition are not the only ones who stand to gain from the special occasion.
All customers visiting Courts tomorrow will receive a Superdad Coupon of 20% off in discount on all credit purchases 24 months and over.
John said customers can use the coupons to purchase any great idea to treat dad this Fatherâs Day.
