Courts FIFA Football competition kicks off
A fierce showdown took place last Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Carlonâs Shop in Paulâs Avenue, where the first leg of the Courts SVG Limited Playstation 3, Fifa 12 Islandwide Tour kicked off.{{more}}
KISOMI entertainment, in collaboration with the St Vincent Brewery Limited and Courts, will give patrons the chance to win great prizes, take home bragging rights and compete for the grand prize of a Playstation 3 game console on July 13.
The competition will be split up into five zones, namely: Kingstown, Georgetown, Barrouallie, Mesopotamia and Chateaubelair.
Head of KISOMI Lyf Compton said this is an event that game lovers canât afford to miss. He, however, noted that before the big event, gamers will have the chance to play warm-up games at Courts St Vincent Limited on Bay Street from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
âWe are allowing persons to come and play for free and they will receive a chance to win great prizes. I know there are plenty FIFA lovers out here, so just come out and show your skills,â Compton said.
In the evening session, Compton explained that interested persons will pay a registration fee of $10 and have the shot at winning $200 and two cases of Heineken beer.
Eight persons will square off in the grand finale for the shot at brand new PS3 console and other prizes at Courts SVG on July 13.
Marketing Officer at Courts Alexis John said being the home of gaming, they are delighted to bring huge excitement to gamers across SVG with the most anticipated gaming competition. John said, in 2010, during the Football World Cup, they introduced the FIFA 10 Soccer PS3 competition and indeed it noted that it was a great excitement and assured patrons this year it will be greater.
John further said that the Courts brand is happy to work with St Vincent Brewery Ltd and Lyf Compton.
Heineken brand manager Dominic Brisbane briefly stated that Heineken and the Brewery are proud to be associated with such an event and noted that Heineken has been one of the biggest sponsors for some of the worldâs biggest football events.(KW)
