Two Courts’ customers win promotion prizes
Two customers of Furniture and Appliance Giants Courts St Vincent Limited found themselves in winnersâ row this week, after making purchases in the storeâs current promotions.{{more}}
Chili Village, Georgetown resident Andrew George is the proud owner of a brand new Sony Bravia 32-inch plasma television set, after purchasing a Whirlpool washing machine last week.
George, a technician employed at the Carenage Bay Resort in Canouan, said that he was overjoyed with his new acquisition, which he said came at the right moment.
âItâs a great feeling, because the one I have in my bedroom started acting up, and I was thinking about buying one, so that one come just in time.â
The television is one of five that is up for grabs, as part of the storeâs Home Solutions 2012 Campaign, a partnership between Courts and Whirlpool.
The next draw for another TV was on Friday, with any person purchasing a Whirlpool appliance eligible for the draw.
A long-time customer of Courts, George says that he intends to continue shopping at Courts, and looks forward to enjoying his prize, when he comes up to the mainland in about three weeks time.
The television was collected by his friend, Anthony Spring, on Wednesday,
âI plan to buy something else in December, because Courts makes it easier for poor people to own stuff,â George said.
Also collecting prizes on Wednesday, was Reviere resident Chevorne James, who claimed her all expenses paid trip for two to the St Lucia Jazz Festival, which takes place this weekend.
James and her mother will have their airfare, hotel accommodation, transportation and tickets to the Saturday night and Sunday night of the festival covered, as part of Courtsâ Brighten Your Motherâs Day promotion.
She also purchased a Whirlpool washing machine.
âI feel really excited,â James said.
âItâs a trip to St Lucia so I am going to enjoy it.
âItâs my first time winning something this big, and Iâm thankful to Courts for the opportunity. It was a prayer answered.â
The Inland Revenue Department employee applauded the company for its customer service, pointing out that the friendly customer service representative took a break from her lunch hour to assist her with her purchase.
