âAnesia Baptiste will seek to take care of myself,â she said at a press conference Wednesday, April 25.
âBut I am not worried about what will happen, because I had similar trials before and God has always provided for me,â she continued.
She, however, admitted that she is a bit concerned about a piece of land that she has used for security to secure a loan.
Other than that, Baptiste told members of the media that once she continues to get sponsorship, she will continue with the programmes she has on television.
âI will continue as far as I can,â Baptiste stated.
Regarding her future in politics, the former senator said that as far as she is concerned, she was thrown out of the NewDemocratic Party (NDP).
âI have not resigned, I have not written saying that I no longer want to go on with the senatorial position; however based on the situation I have been thrown out,â she said.
Before the revocation of her senatorial position, Baptiste had been named to contest the next General Elections, due by 2015, in the constituency of West St George on an NDP ticket.
And according to Baptiste, in her opinion, 2015 is when the next General Elections will be held.
She, however, noted that it was difficult to determine now, in 2012, if she was going to be a candidate, but she said that she will want to.
Whether or not she intends to contest the election as an independent candidate, is something the public will have to wait to find out, she said. (DD)
