Horne, employed at Super J Supermarket in Arnos Vale, was the grand prize winner in Courtsâ Pay and Win promotion, in which shoppers who kept their accounts up to date were rewarded with prizes such as groceries and back to school vouchers, over the past six months.
An excited and elated Horne indicated that while she had hoped to be a winner, she did not expect to win the grand prize.
âI never thought I would win,â Horne, a resident of Upper Cane Hall, stated.
Horne purchased a washing machine and mattress from Courts, which made her eligible for the promotion which began in July and saw two winners every forthnight.
On Tuesday, December 20, Horne collected her cheque of $6,000 ($500 per month) from Courts Credit Manager Wendy Edwards.
The married mother of one indicated that the family is going to benefit greatly from the cash, and thanked Courts for giving her the opportunity to win back something from them.
âItâs good to be able to shop at Courts and win something in return,â she added.
