Moore told SEARCHLIGHT that he was making his way home after running an errand at a nearby shop, when a gunman shot him four times about the body.

He said that he received gunshot wounds to both legs and upper arm and up to press time Wednesday, Moore said that he still had bullet fragments lodged in his head and face.

The youth said that the shooter came up from behind and opened fire.

“I heard the first shot,” he related, saying that the first shot hit him in the leg and he fell to the ground.

Moore, a patient at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, said that he is feeling much better now, although he indicated that he was having difficulty seeing out of his right eye.

While being grateful that his life has been spared, Moore said that he is baffled by the incident, saying that he does not know why anyone would want to kill him.

Ottley Hall has been the centre of a number of gun related incidents in the past. However, Moore said that he wants an end to the senseless violence.

“I would just like all this stupidness to stop,” he said.(DD)
