Hypolite tops in Common Entrance GP examination

Twelve-year-old Natasha Hypolite, of the Kingstown Preparatory School, did her bit in maintaining the school’s reputation for academic excellence, having gained the top grade in the General Paper examination.{{more}}

Natasha, who tied with classmate Jessica Prescott, scored 95 per cent.

With an overall average of 91.40 per cent, she also got 91.67 per cent in Mathematics and 87.88 per cent in English, placing 12th overall and fourth for girls.

“I feel great,” said Natasha.

“I think I could have done a little better, but I’m satisfied.”

To prepare for the examination, she said that she went through several past papers and had after-school lessons with a tutor.

Natasha, who plays the piano in her spare time, said that she is looking forward to attending the Girls’ High School in September; but, in the mean time she is excited about her impending trip to Disney World with her parents. (JV)
