The free bus ride is the latest initiative launched by the telecommunications provider in their continued effort to add value to the lives of Vincentians.

Last Wednesday, June 8, a number of commuters travelling on the Kingstown/Richland Park route and those on the Campden Park/Kingstown route received free bus rides. Persons were shuttled free of cost from Campden Park to Kingstown by the minibus Raptor between the hours of 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and then again in the afternoon from Kingstown to Camdpen Park between the hours 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The same thing was done on the Kingstown/Richland Park route during the same times by the minibus H-3756 driven by Tariq John.

On Wednesday Public Relations Officer (PRO) Digicel OECS Jerry George said that the free bus rides are an initiative that Digicel developed to reach a broad cross section of the community. He said that every Wednesday for the next six weeks from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., selected buses will offer free rides on selected routes. Every week new routes and new buses will be used.

“In today’s world times are tough and persons can do with a little help and a free bus ride is one way of helping persons”, said George.
