Next Level Country Music Club to host Country Music awards show

Next Level Country Music Club, the organisation at the forefront of promoting country music here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, will host its first annual Karaoke Country Music Awards show on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Club Calabash.{{more}}

The Awards Show is being held to honour the winner of the 2010 Country Music Karaoke Idol contest and to recognise the eight other finalists for their contributions. Additionally, country music singers from karaoke houses across the country will vie for one of three spots in the Grand Finale of the 2011 Country Idol contest, scheduled for December. The event will also feature the Country Relatives of Bequia.

The Country Music Awards comes at the heels of the Club’s Grand Finale of the 2010 Country Music Karaoke Idol contest, which took place last month. The outpouring of young country music and karaoke fans who attended the event is believed to be the result of the club’s effort to provide alternative music which doesn’t promote violence and antisocial behaviour among the youths, a release from the Next Level Country Music Club said.
