UWI Head gets high praises from Israeli Ambassador

Head of the University of the West Indies, UWI, Dr Adrian Fraser has received high praises from Ambassador of the State of Israel to St Vincent and the Grenadines, Amiram Magid.{{more}}

The Israeli diplomat, who made a courtsey call to the University last Tuesday, February 15, while in the country, said that he considered Head of the Open Campus, Dr Adrian Fraser, as having an “expert opinion”, particularly on matters relating to the Caribbean and Caricom and was interested in getting Dr Fraser’s perspective on such matters.

Ambassador Magid is representative to six other countries in the Caribbean and highlighted that this was his third visit to SVG, since being assigned to the region last February. He also said that he was interested in getting perspectives on Israel and the uprisings in the Middle East from the higher education principal.

Ambassador Magid noted that Israel was not only focused on developing political ties with this St Vincent and the Grenadines but also establishing economic and agricultural cooperation.

Meanwhile, Head of the campus Dr Fraser said that he was pleased that the non-resident Israeli ambassador was making efforts to learn more about the places he represents and was fostering collaborative efforts.
