Police are still trying to piece together the puzzle surrounding the death of 41-year-old labourer Kent Blugh.

Blugh met his death at Fitz Hughes at about 9:40 p.m.

A police press release stated that the deceased was standing outside his home when an unknown assailant opened fire at him. He sustained several gunshot wounds about his body and died on the spot.

A post mortem examination will be carried out on the body to ascertain the cause of death.

The first homicide was recorded on Wednesday, February 9, when 59-year-old businessman, Edwin Robinson, of Cane End, was attacked by three gunmen at his business place around 8:50 p.m.

Robinson sustained several gunshot wounds about the body and was taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he died subsequently.

Investigations are continuing in both matters.(KW)
