Persons participating in the Searchlight Treasure Hunt stand the chance of winning credit from Digicel, prizes from Courts, free meals from Bickles and gift vouchers from Jujube bookstore.

Coordinator of the Searchlight Treasure Hunt Molicia Charles explained that each week, five questions will be posted on Searchlight’s website www.searchlight.vc, by 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening, and also published in the Midweek newspaper on Tuesday.

The answers to the questions can be found in the articles of that week’s Midweek Searchlight.

The objective of the competition Charles said is to encourage people to read more and to promote the Midweek Searchlight.

“Additionally, the real treasure to be found is the knowledge one gains from reading,” Charles said.

Persons wishing to take part in the competition may email their answers to moliciacharles@searchlight.vc or drop them off at Searchlight’s office at Lower Kingstown Park, by midday on Wednesday.

A draw will then be done. The first four correct entries drawn will be awarded that week’s prizes. The names of all winners and the prize they have won will be published in the Weekend Searchlight of that week.

The competition will run until the end of the year, when a grand prize will be awarded to the person who submits the most correct entries over the course of the year.
