CYEN youth get Leadership training

Over twenty five members of Caribbean Youth Environment Network St.Vincent and the Grenadines Chapter attended a one day leadership workshop which was held at the Credit Union League Conference room on Saturday, March 5, 2011.{{more}}

According to Chairperson of the group, Yoland London, in house training for group members is one of the main activities in the organization’s work schedule 2011, and she is happy for the opportunity to benefit from such a workshop.

The workshop was organized and conducted by Projects Promotion Limited as part of a project on “Capacity Strengthening foe community Management of Resources for Sustainable Development” that is being funded by the Organization of American States (OAS).

The members of CYEN-SVG expressed how pleased they were to be a part of the training, and thanked Projects Promotion Ltd for agreeing to conduct the training workshop with the organization, and gave the assurance that the information gained will be put into practice.

CYEN-SVG will be hosting a week of activities Feb 27 – March 5, 2011, to commemorate its 1st Anniversary. These activities will commence with a church service on the 27th February, two membership drive activities, one on February 28th and the other on March 2nd, The activities will climax on March 5th with a membership Award and Installation Ceremony at the Doris Mc kie Resource centre at Cane Hall. Winners of the poster competition “Our Biodiversity pathway to prosperity” organized by the organization will be presented with their prizes at this ceremony.
