Seven participate in CED designing Workshop

Six young ladies are now honing their knowledge and skills in clothing manufacturing through a seven-week training programme in Fashion Designing organized by the Centre for Enterprise Development Inc (CED) Business Gateway Project.{{more}}

The course is a follow-up for participants in the YOUBET Summer Programme held in August.

This is being done as a further thrust by CED Business Gateway to help the young ladies chart careers in clothing manufacturing and fashion designing.

The course is being conducted by veteran fashion designer Patrice Reddock of Patrice Fashions Studios, who explained that at the end of the session that “the young ladies will be knowledgeable in grading of patterns and will be able to perfect the construction of garments with emphasis on cutting, sewing and finishing.”

CED Business Gateway decided to provide more training to these young ladies after they showed much interest and potential during the YOUBET Summer Programme.

YOUBET (Youth Business and Entrepreneurship Training) is a CED programme that seeks to expose young people to entrepreneurial and business education, as a means of encouraging them to seek alternative avenues for employment creation and income generation.
