Tannis became the first winner of the store’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is At Courts’ draw last Friday, November 19, with two other Grenadine counterparts also collecting prizes.

Tannis, a businessman on Bequia, dedicated the winnings to his son Camarsh, who he said inspired him and informed him that he was going to win the first prize.

The second placed prize of $1,000 worth of grocery was won by Gailene Noel of Union Island, who was represented by Ricky Dean Alexander.

Curtis Bynoe, also of Bequia took back to the island a $500 voucher which goes towards his electricity bill.

The three finalists, under the watchful eyes of auditors KPMG, were given the opportunity to pick a number from one to three; they were then asked to open corresponding boxes to their selected numbers.

On opening the boxes, the finalists were greeted with their prizes.

Tannis, on winning his prize, said that he was thankful to Courts for the opportunity to earn some extra income for the holidays and encouraged other persons to be a part of the promotions.

Marketing Executive Alexis John reminded shoppers that there were five additional draws to take place, and that the only way they can be winners is to take part in the promotion.

“Rewarding our customers is a tradition; it’s what we do best. Over the years we have touched so many lives by improving their standard of living,” said John.

Persons spending $499 or more in cash or credit would be eligible for the grand prize draw, and automatically win themselves free gifts, including ham, turkey or ‘grog’.

Customers spending over $99 will receive cell phone top-ups from Digicel, and persons purchasing computers will receive vouchers for Internet service from LIME.

The promotion runs until December 24, with the next draw to take place on November 29.
