Speaking at the handing over ceremony on Monday, President of the Lions Club South, Artis Davis said “that the Club is pleased to come to the assistance of the recipients and hopes that they will use the money for its intended purpose which is to offset their medical expenses.”

He further opined that it’s the policy of Lions International and by extension Lions Clubs to use monies collected from the public through activities such as Christmas Caroling, BBQ’s, Lotto Sales, etc to assist needy persons within the Community.

The four beneficiaries of the Club’s generous donations are Lolitha Burke, Francene James and Mark Richards and Ken Roberts.

Ken Roberts thanked the Lions Club South on behalf of the other recipients for their timely and worthwhile contribution.

The cheques were presented by Lion President Artis Davis and 2nd Vice President, Lion Michael John.
