This year’s promotion dubbed “Christmas Pon the Remix” will see three lucky grand prize customers winning great prizes. The first prize winner will “Live Free for one year” which can include paying the mortgage or rent, groceries and telecoms expenses. Second prize winner gets a vacation for four, with airfare and hotel accommodations all paid for. Third prize winner will “Remix” with a state of the art 3D Entertainment Centre.

All LIME customers who Top Up $20 or more, purchase a handset and Text the word “Merry” to 5463(LIME) will gain entry into the draw. Text cost $1. The six weeks campaign will see two weekly winners drawn every Tuesday until December 28th and winning several attractive prizes such as home and personal makeovers; car makeovers and gas vouchers; handset giveaways like a BlackBerry Torch and shopping sprees. The grand prizes will be drawn on January 7th 2011.

General Manager Angus Steele speaking at the launch of the LIME Christmas Village last Sunday night commented “the campaign, dubbed Christmas ‘Pon De Remix,’ reflects the essence of LIME’s brand promise. It provides customers with the products, services and offers that they want and that will improve their lives – Everyday. Customers will experience LIME Christmas Pon De Remix in various communities as we spread the joys of the promotions. Additionally customers supporting this year’s campaign will contribute directly to the Hurricane Tomas relief efforts.”

Chris Dehring, Chief Marketing Officer, LIME Caribbean, said: “This hassle free, practical gift will offer one very fortunate customer the freedom to enhance his/her life with big savings and provide them with extra cash to use for other important aspects of their lives. That is peace of mind, for at least a year, in harsh economic times. The second and third prizes are also very exciting offers. But it’s our community involvement that is going to identify what LIME is all about. We have also identified leading Caribbean entertainers and added a Caribbean Christmas flavor to the promotions. Have fun with us for Christmas.”

Dehring added: “For the first time we are offering financing plans on BlackBerry and Netbooks. Plus, there will be a series of one-day specials that will include handset deals, PC bundles, discounted internal direct dialed calls and SMS Happy Hours throughout the campaign. We are confident that this Christmas LIME will have something for everyone.”

This year’s promotion comes in the backdrop of the devastation of Hurricane Tomas. LIME has also used the “Christmas Pon De Remix” promotion to assist with the relief efforts to rehabilitate persons affected and displaced. The company will donate 50 cents of every top up of $20 or more to the relief efforts. Additionally customers can text “Tomas” to 4357(HELP), each text cost 50 cents and all proceeds will go towards relief efforts.

The LIME Christmas Village will be open every Sunday during Christmas shopping with live entertainment and specials in store.

Christmas ‘Pon De Remix’ began on Monday, November 15 and will run until December 31, 2010. The winner of the grand prize will be announced on January 7, 2011.
