Insurance premiums are being paid for each box of bananas exported.

SVG Agro -Producers Ltd. is also examining in what other areas the Company can assist the farmer shareholders.

SVG Agro -Producers Ltd. will continue to accept whatever limited produce of good quality is available for export.

Hugh Stewart, Chairman of SVG Agro -Producers Ltd., in a news release, stated that it is important that every effort be made to keep the customers both in Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago.

He added that SVG Agro -Producers Ltd. welcomes any assistance offered by the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines to the shareholder farmers of the company.

Hurricane Tomas ravaged mainland St.Vincent on Saturday, October 30. Severe damage was done to bananas and plantains, primarily. Tree crops and vegetables, and to a lesser extent root crops, were also damaged.
