Activities to mark Universal Children’s Day commence today

The Ministry of National Mobilisation, Youth and Sports, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the National Committee on the Rights of the Child (NCRC), will host a week of activities to commemorate Universal Children’s Day.{{more}}

Universal Children’s Day is celebrated on November 20.

A week of activities is slated to run from November 14-20.

This year’s activities will be held under the theme “Today’s Children Tomorrow’s Future: Nurture them”.

The activities will start with various church services across the country and will culminate with the UNICEF Campaign Launch which is slated to be held at the Methodist Church Hall, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on November 20.

Other activities include a visit to Schools on Thursday, November 18, by the NCRC members, to speak on Rights and Responsibilities, whilst Saturday, November 20, will see a Radio Quiz and the Launch of Youth and Community Advocacy Network (YOUCAN).
