The aim of the visit is to promote the University of the West Indies as the premier tertiary institution in the region and to join students and young people in reflecting on common issues relevant to the development of the Caribbean youth and the region as a whole.

The student ambassadors will meet with the local chapter of the Open Campus Students’ Guild, various students at secondary and tertiary level institutions, and the media. They will also make courtesy calls on the Minister of Education and the Governor General.

While here, Long and Raggay will sample a taste of Vincentian culture through a visit to the Grenadines, Fort Charlotte and several other places of historical interest. An invitation is especially extended to the Divisions of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College to join the students at a panel discussion on Wednesday, November 10th, at the Open Campus, at 5:00 pm.
