“Our network was sturdy, and we remained up and running.”

“Our data services were lost; but that was not a fault of ours here in St. Vincent. This was due to the damage that was suffered at our stations in St. Lucia, and we are working on having it restored.”

Polius said that the company had learned a lesson from a storm that had hit a few years ago, and had strengthened their capacity.

The company sent out text messages to its customers informing them of the impending hurricane.

“We built up our infrastructure and I gathered that we were well prepared this time around.”
