The daily activities of the various departments in the Ministry of Transport and Works were highlighted on Tuesday, October 26, as the Ministry held an Information Fair as part of the 31st anniversary of independence celebrations.{{more}}
The Fair, which was held at the Ministryâs compound in Kingstown, saw visitors to the booths being informed by staff of the various departments about the workings of the Soils Laboratory, Security Services Unit, Land Transportation Unit, Project Management Division, Surveying Unit, Project Management Unit, among others.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Luis deShong said that the Fair was held to give the general public a greater understanding of what takes place at the Ministry.
A menu of local food was also on display and available for sale.
Visitors to the Fair were entertained by music from a section of the South East Steel Orchestra, which played a number of national songs as well as a selection of music from the region.(JJ)
