Products on show included everything from root crops to finished, value added products that are manufactured locally from items grown here.

Carmalie Nicholls, Grade 5 teacher at the school told SEARCHLIGHT that the desired goal of the project was to get the students of the school to begin using more locally produced foods as opposed to the ones that are unhealthy.

“We want them to know that they can get all the nutrients from foods grown here which is much healthier for young students,” Nicholls told SEARCHLIGHT. (DD)
