Top Cuban professional artistes to train locals

The Ministry of Culture will host three Top Cuban Professional Artists for a ten-day training Assignment in the State.{{more}}

The three-person training delegation recommended through the Cuban Ministry of Culture are Yuliet Abreu Fernandez of the Papines Group, Diamela Rodriguez Abreu and Rafael Hernandez Clavijo of

the Ballet Theater America of Havana.

Fernandez is a musician and percussionist. Abreu is an instructor for Dance for women and Clavijo is an instructor for Dance for men.

The instructors will conduct the training sessions on certain aspects of Dance styles including Afro-Caribbean.

Invitations have been dispatched to Dance Tutors – Dance Group Leaders and Lead dancers of dance Groups and Choreographers, so that they could benefit from this assignment.

The Trio also performed at the National Dance Festival Awards Night – Saturday, October 2, 2010 when all Gold Medalists will gave command performances.

This assignment of the Cuban instructors was made possible through the instrumentality of the National Lotteries Authority. The Training Programme of Activities would be managed through the National Cultural Foundation.
