Another winner in Digicel Aunt Jobe’s Supermarket Sweep

On Wednesday, the second installment of the Digicel Aunt Jobe’s Supermarket Sweep Promotion went down and saw bachelor Rudy Bailey walking away with an EC$500 shopping spree.{{more}}

Bailey was chosen along with Garfield Joseph and Desmonique Bailey (represented by Osbourne Mornix) to take part in the competition which saw the three shoppers being given three trolleys and two minutes to place 20 or more items in their shopping cart. The catch was that the person whose 20 or more items came the closest to EC$600 would win the EC$500 shopping spree. The rules were changed slightly from the last time run which saw participants aiming for 10 or more items adding up to EC$300.

Bailey had exactly 20 items amounting to EC$638.02. Mornix had 30 items amounting to EC$751.81 while Joseph’s 17 items came to EC$964.25.

“$500 shopping spree, that’s good somebody going to benefit from this cause I’m really a bachelor,” said Bailey who is the Manager and Owner of Magikleen. He added that he has been using Digicel for the last four years and the service is very good. He also said, “Aunt Jobe’s is a very good place to shop”. He added that he will be taking his shopping spree at the Aunt Jobe’s second location in Arnos Vale as he lives in Queen’s Drive.

Last week Wednesday September 8, Lawyer Carla James became the first winner of the EC$500 shopping spree compliments Digicel and Aunt Jobe’s Supermarket.

Last Wednesday’s Digicel Aunt Jobe’s Supermarket Sweep Promotion was the second of nine shopping sprees that will be held every Wednesday at Aunt Jobe’s Supermarket. Persons are entered in the competition by paying their post paid bill on time or topping up EC$20 or more. Giving the rules of the competition for future competitors, Marketing Executive at Digicel Justin John said that the use of calculators is strictly prohibited while he stressed that the items that are picked up do not belong to the competitors. The event was also witnessed by Digicel’s Marketing Manager Juno DeRoche and Supervisor at Aunt Jobe’s Joycelyn Burnette.

The next shopping spree takes place on Wednesday September 22nd. Second and third place are given EC$100 credit on their prepaid or post paid phones.
