A release from Vincy Cares said seven large commercial bins, one of which equals approximately three barrels, were filled with supplies and will be shipped to St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the coming weeks, courtesy of Gideon “Fessie” Yorke of Standard Shippers who has agreed to ship at no cost to Vincy Cares. Also, they have agreed to always accept donations to Vincy Cares as the project to collect school supplies will be ongoing.

This drive will be held annually during the Laborr Day Weekend.

“Although we did not meet our target, we are satisfied with the turnout and hope that next year’s event will be bigger!” the release said.

“We would like to thank all of the kind people who helped promote the event, provided music, helped us collect, pack and closed the bins. We hope to see you at our next event,” the release said.
