On Tuesday at the Singer store on Halifax and Egmont Streets, Country Manager at Digicel, Sonia Polius, Digicel’s Marketing Executive, Justin John, and Marketing Executive at Singer, Karen Veira, handed over a 40 inch plasma Television to Odelia Thomas (first prize) and a Blackberry handset with two months free data to Greslin Stapleton (second prize). The third prize winner, Val Miki, could not make it and, therefore, will collect his prize of EC$200 cash, EC$200 credit and an electric ice cream maker at a later date.

Explaining the promotion, John said that the three winners won the prizes as part of a pre-Carnival promotion where if you purchased something from Singer, paid your Singer bill on time, paid your Digicel bill on time or topped up $15 or more, you were entered in a draw to win the prizes mentioned above.

Collecting her 40 inch television set, Thomas, who hails from Layou, said that she was very happy to win her first ever prize from Digicel. She revealed that she was entered in the draw when she purchased an item from Singer.

“I think that the services provided by both companies are very good and professional,” said Thomas.

Meanwhile, Stapleton, who is from Rose Hall, commented: “I feel good when I got the news on Monday that I had won. I was very excited because I know that I could not buy such an expensive phone.” She said that she has been using Digicel for a very long time now and described the service as very efficient.

After the handing over ceremony, Marketing Executive Veira said that her company “was very happy to collaborate with Digicel, and we think that it was a beautiful marriage and we hope that in the future we can do this again”.
