The donation of $3,000 helped to purchase this season’s youth steel pan group’s shirts. This is the second year that Thomas has supported the uniform purchase for the Carnival events.

In a handing-over ceremony, Southeast Development Inc. (SEDI) President Albert Harry expressed his thanks to the Thomas family.

“The members of SEDI and the Southeast Steel Orchestra are very appreciative of this generous contribution which enables our young people to enter the 2010 Panorama season with a fresh, new look. The previous shirts received hard wear and hard washing over the course of the year, and were in great need of being replaced.”

Adonna Thomas-Allen, daughter of Adolphus Thomas, represented the family at the handing-over ceremony.

The Southeast Steel Orchestra will be participating in the Junior Pan Fest on Sunday, June 27, and the Panorama on Thursday, July 1.
