Justice Remy resigns

The sudden resignation of High Court Judge, Jennifer Remy has forced the Criminal Assizes to adjourn sitting for one week.{{more}}

SEARCHLIGHT understands that Justice Remy stepped down last week citing personal reasons.

Remy, a St Lucian national, was the presiding judge of the Assizes, which commenced in May, 2010.

It is still unclear who will preside over the remainder of the assizes, which is scheduled to resume on Monday, June 21, 2010.
