âI felt happy, but at the same time I felt as though I didnât do as well as I wanted to, because I thought I was going to come first,â the young man explained.
Like his first cousin Abigail, who placed first, Jaylon said that he was confident that he had done well.
He described the exam as being âvery easy,â recording an impressive 100 percent in Mathematics, 89.49 in English and 93.33 in General Paper.
Scott shared some of the secrets that contributed to his success, saying that he did not watch any TV and made sure that he reviewed all the course work covered.
All this compounded by the fact that Scott referred to himself as an attentive student.
He thanked his parents, Nigel and Daphne Scott and his teachers for the time spent and his teachers at his former school as having been an integral part of his success.
Scott says that he is hoping to pick up where he left off when he starts at the St Vincent Grammar School, where he will continue chasing his dream of becoming a pilot.
