Harry re-elected president of SEDI
Albert Harry was re-elected president of Southeast Development Inc.(SEDI) at a membership meeting at the Stubbs Government School on Tuesday, May 11. Harry was instrumental in establishing the youth development organization in 2008 and has served in the top executive position since its inception.{{more}}
Joining Harry on the newly elected SEDI executive team are vice president Irwin Stapleton; secretary; Charon Scipio; treasurer, Cetroy Wilkes; assistant secretary-treasurer, Patrice Browne, and public relations officer, Joline Doyle. Committee members chosen to serve on the executive include Densil John, Bernard Sayers and Chesley Scipio.
Additionally, steel orchestra captain Kevon Guy will serve on the executive team. Guy was elected to his position at a meeting of the organization on Thursday, April 22.
In remarks to the members following the election, president Harry complimented the organization on the successes of the past two years and called on the new executive to function as a strong leadership team in addressing the challenges facing the organization in the year ahead.
Established in April 2008, SEDI is a grassroots youth development organization serving young people in the Southeast sector of mainland St. Vincent through education, culture and sports.
